Individualised and Ubiquitous Learning

The miniaturisation of family, the world’s conversion in to globalised village, availability of ample knowledge and the resources to share it with steep curve of changing technology has even change the leaving style.

The way of working, the structure of family and in turn society has even change due to the bombardment of technology in almost all area.

These changes in human life and world economic and social pattern had given tremendous boost to Individualised and Ubiquitous Learning market.

The current trend of business is ‘possible to produce a product anywhere, using resources from anywhere, by a company located anywhere to sell anywhere’, John Naisbiti (1994).

The wave of globalisation has been supported by strong rise of e business and new value to the boundary less business.

The odd hours of working, distances to travel for work, usefulness of knowledge at all part of world are the few core reasons for the demand of Individualised Learning. Personalized learning is defined as adjusting the pace (individualization), adjusting the approach (differentiation), and connecting to the learners interests and experiences.

The mobility for work and from work to home, the odd hours to work, the miniaturisation of computer to different form like note pad, tablet and fastest changing mobile technology offering Smart phones, has become most unavoidable (many a time a nuisance) to live without.

The endless features offered from smart phones and ease of use has made them second ‘Sweet Heart’.  These characteristics of Smart Phone devices has emerged an additional platform to bombard knowledge called Ubiquitous Learning. A ubiquitous learning environment is any setting in which students can become totally immersed in the learning process. 

Something like Ubiquitous computing. Ubiquitous computing (ubicomp) is a post-desktop model of human-computer interaction in which information processing has been thoroughly integrated into everyday objects and activities.
