Meaning of VAKOG & NLP and there relation.

VAKOG - visual, auditory, kinaesthetic, olfactory and gustatory, the different senses, with which human can grasp information known as representation systems, or sensory modalities.

In simple way the senses are used by human body to grasp information and act upon. The act based on the information sensed does differ as out of all the different senses which one is dominating.

The dominance of the senses is very closely related to the circumstances a person is in to and the mood at that stage.

A testiest pizza offered to same person with same hunger, but in different mood will raise different review of same pizza.

The same happens to the knowledge offered.  The NLP - Neuro-linguistic programming The word asserts a connection between the neurological processes ("neuro"), language
("linguistic"), and behavioral patterns learned through experience ("programming") that proponents speculate can be changed to achieve specific goals in life.

People have very different ways of describing their world. From noticing the eye patterns and checking that people have varying ways of internalising information, we can begin to know that everybody has their own personal way of experiencing their world.

NLP asserts that for most circumstances and most people, four of the five sensory based modes seem to dominate in mental processing:

  • Visual thoughts – sight, mental imagery, spatial awareness
  • Auditory (or linguistic) – sound, speech, dialog, white noise
  • Kinaesthetic (or feelings) sense – somatic feelings in the body, temperature, pressure, and also emotion.
  • Self-talk (or audio internal)

The other two senses,
  • Gustatory (taste) and
  • Olfactory (smell),

are closely associated, often seem to be less significant in general mental processing, and are often considered jointly as one (possibly linked with feelings).

This combine knowledge of NLP – Neuro Linguistic Programming and VAKOG – Visual, Auditory, kinaesthetic, Olfactory and Gustatory sensing capability of information becomes crucial in developing and framing educational material and choosing the media to be used.
